If you’re a person who likes to use natural remedies and homeopathy before relying on the hardcore, more toxic solutions for what ails your dog–especially when it comes to flea protection–then you may want to give Nature’s Protection Herbal Bug Spray from Earth Animal a try.

Of course the more toxic stuff is also pretty pricey. However, sometimes vet-approved medications work best, and you gotta do what you gotta do to keep your fur babies comfortable and happy. Talk to your vet before you make decisions.

But can Nature’s Protection Herbal Bug Spray from Earth Animal protect your pooch from fleas and their nasty bites as well as the vet-approved medication can? My pups gave it a try to find out.

Switching From Toxic To Herbal

Firstly, you should know that, in the past, I’ve been able to use more natural home sprays for much of the year, then switch to the vet recommended flea prevention during July and August, which is when fleas and ticks are out in full force.

The instructions for the vet recommended flea prevention medication usually call for monthly dosing, but I would notice that after about three weeks, my dogs would start scratching again like crazy. So I would have to wait a full week before giving them another dose, and I was using the stuff that kills fleas, ticks, and eggs–the whole shebang.

I remember the first time I got the tube of vet-approved flea medication out of the packaging, my newly adopted pup tore off running from it. Whatever was in it, she could sense was very toxic and didn’t even want to be in the same room as it. I felt so bad when I had to administer it to her. She probably thought she was being punished for something.

Anyway, the medication has its benefits, which I do not discount and will not hesitate to use when necessary. But, of course, I was eager to try out the natural Nature’s Protection Herbal Bug Spray from Earth Animal to see if it might prove just as effective.

My Pups Give Nature’s Protection A Try

I’ve been using the Herbal Bug Spray on my dogs for just about six weeks. We are into August, and they have been totally flea free, which is quite surprising considering these are the summer months when fleas are out and about. I had the backup stuff (a.k.a. the vet prescribed medication), ready to go just in case. But it’s still sealed in the cupboard.

Sometimes my dogs have a sleepover with a friend who has dogs on every side of her house. On every past sleepover, my dogs would come home from her house with flea infestations. During the time they were using Nature’s Protection, they had a four-day sleepover and came home just fine. I didn’t have to give them flea baths like I did in the past.

That’s a pretty rigorous test as far as my dogs are concerned, and the natural bug repellent held up! Nature’s Protection Herbal Bug Spray is great, and I am going to continue using it and tell all my friends about it!

Flea Free And Feelin’ Fine!

Now when I take my dogs outside in the morning and watch them walking through the blades of grass, I see all types of small flying bugs go scattering. I made a video of it, but you can’t see it on the video as well because the bugs are so small. You can see a little in the screen shot above. They’re clearing a path for George. Whatever he has on him, they don’t want any part of it.

If you are looking for a non-toxic, organic way to treat your pups for fleas and ticks, you gotta try the edible drops and spray from Nature’s Protection! You will not be disappointed.
